🌍 Community Engagement & 📚 Academic Approach
TRCS 2 believes in the power of community. The school hosts various events that celebrate student achievements and cultural diversity. These events foster a sense of belonging and strengthen the bond between students, families, and the broader community.
TRCS 2 offers a holistic education approach, emphasizing academic and personal growth. The curriculum integrates subjects like music, dance, and Mandarin, enhancing students' worldviews through partnerships with cultural institutions.
The school employs a "hands-on, minds-on" instruction model in the early grades. Centers-based learning allows children to interact, play, and learn, fostering a love for school and the learning process. The literacy program includes components from Lucy Calkins and TCRWP’s workshop, focusing on reading, writing, and phonics development. Writing is taught through the writing workshop model, encouraging students to draft, revise, edit, and publish their pieces.
