About The Floating Hospital
Founded in 1866, The Floating Hospital has a rich history of providing compassionate, comprehensive healthcare to New York City's most vulnerable populations. Operating from its main clinic in Long Island City, Queens, and satellite locations across the city, it serves nearly 27,000 children and adults annually, many of whom live below the federal poverty line .
As New York City's largest charity healthcare organization and the only Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to families experiencing homelessness, The Floating Hospital offers a range of services including primary medical care, dental and behavioral health services, reproductive healthcare, and more .
