Our team had the incredible honor of representing 82nd Street Academics at this year’s Bangladesh Parade. It was a day filled with music, color, and pride—but above all, it was a celebration of culture and community. We were deeply moved by the joy and hospitality that surrounded us and are so grateful to have been welcomed with open arms. Thank you to everyone who made this day unforgettable—especially our amazing staff and families who joined us in the celebration.

Our “One Community, Many Cultures” event was a vibrant celebration of the diversity that makes 82nd Street Academics so unique. Families, staff, and community partners came together to share food, stories, and joy in an evening filled with connection and culture. From delicious homemade dishes to heartfelt conversations, this gathering was a beautiful reminder that we are stronger—and better—together.

🎭 5th Grade Disney Musical Performance at Renaissance 1

Our 5th-grade students at Renaissance 1 took center stage in a spectacular Disney musical performance, showcasing their incredible talent and hard work. This event was a true reflection of their dedication, teamwork, and the power of the arts in education. With the support of our community, including a special appearance by Council Member Shekar Krishnan, this performance was an unforgettable celebration of creativity and achievement.

On Sunday June 1st, our team proudly marched in the Queens Pride Parade to celebrate love, inclusion, and the vibrant diversity that makes our community so special. Representing 82nd Street Academics, we stood alongside local leaders, organizations, and neighbors to affirm our commitment to equity, visibility, and creating safe spaces for all families and students.
Renaissance 2 End of Year
Dance & Awards Celebration

Ren 2’s End-of-Year Dance Party brought families, students, and staff together for a joyful evening of multicultural food, music, and celebration. Highlights included a lively dance floor and a heartfelt awards ceremony recognizing our after-school students’ achievements.

Last Wednesday, our 3rd–5th grade students at PS 280 lit up the stage with an incredible dance performance that showcased their creativity, confidence, and teamwork. It was a proud moment for families and staff alike, as students brought energy and heart to every routine.
