The Specialized High Schools Admission Test is the ONLY way to get into one of New York City’s esteemed science and technology high schools, which include Brooklyn Tech, Bronx Science, and Stuyvesant High School. Here is a link to information about all of New York City’s specialized high schools.

The SHSAT Prep course at 82nd Street Academics is a great way to prepare your child for the exam with high-quality tutoring. Students will take three full-length practice tests during the course, and will work with a dynamic, experienced instructor to identify areas of weakness, learn test-taking strategies, and practice the material.

This year, we offer a 7-week SHSAT Prep Course starting on September 19, 2009. Classes are held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, for a total of 42 instructional hours. This includes four full-length practice exams. We encourage students who are interested in learning more about the program to call us at 718-446-0690.

SAT reasoning test

This year, 82nd Street Academics is partnering with The Renaissance Charter School to provide a prep course for the SAT to Renaissance students. Classes are taught by highly experienced instructors during the school day, as part of the senior year curriculum.

We are providing Renaissance students with an 8-week SAT Prep Course starting in September 2009. Features of the course include: four full-length practice exams, student progress reports, and specialize instruction for the three subject areas of the exam: Math, Critical Reading, and Writing.
